First Day of School!

Rala & Schaeffer started a new school today. Rala began at Claude High School and Schaeffer at Claude Elementary. It was a little scary for both of us as we walked into the school today. Schaeffer went off to Kindergarten. He walked right in and hung up his backpack and lunch box. When Jason and I left his room, we both had a little tear that our baby was starting Kindergarten. The day went well and everyone had a great day. It was so nice for all three of us to be in Claude.

Disneyland

Our family went to Disneyland this summer. We loved every minute of it. Mammy, Pappy, Nanny, That, Jerry, Buffie, Texi, Farmer, Hondo, Jason, Faith, Schaeffer and I all went. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Venice Beach and Knott's Berry Farm. Faith got to spend time with Texi and Schaeffer got to hang out with Farmer and Hondo. For a special treat, Uncle Matt, came over and visited with us as well.

Summer Visitors

This summer we have had some visitors at our house in Claude. Cousin Emily got to come and stay several days with Faith & Schaeffer. We loved having her here and I think she loved being here. Drew, Ty and Katie came and stayed for a few days as well. Kenzie came and stayed with us while her mama was going to school. Maddox even came out to play. We swam, played in the backyard and had tons of sleepovers. Faith and Schaeffer has some of the best times this summer with our summer company.

Schaeffer's 5th Birthday

My baby is no longer a baby. He turned 5 this summer and will be headed to Kindergarten in just a few weeks. We had a great birthday party at Cheer Texas in Amarillo. Our family and friends were there to celebrate. The kids loved Cheer Texas and it was a great place for the party.

Schaeffer is the, "Biggest, Baddest, SuperHero and nothing can stop him."

Livin' the Life

We spent the week in Las Vegas and had a wonderful time. We rented a mini-van and Schaeffer loved it. He got to sit in the third seat the entire trip and thought he was "Livin' the Life". He loved it, he had his own cup holder, hook, air vent and reclining seat. Every time we got in the car he would ask the other passengers, "Don't you wish you could be livin' the life in the back with me?".

We also spent lots of time in the swimming pool and at the amusement park. This was more of a family trip then a gambling trip. Jason and I did gamble a bit, but were not successful.

Schaeffer's Thoughts

This weekend we attended a birthday party for a family friend. It was his 90th birthday and held in a museum in Lubbock. During the party, Schaeffer was playing in a spot of the building that was not too clean. It has spiderwebs and tons of dirt. I told Schaeffer to get up, it was dirty down there. He said back to me, "Mom how can I ever have any fun?"

I just let him continue to play.
