Snow Days

We got snowed in for four days. Claude and Amarillo cancelled school Thursday and Friday. We watched lots of movies, played tons of wii, built a fire and played in the snow. Bishop did not play in the snow.
It was a great time, but I think we are all ready to get back into our normal routine.

Schaeffer Basketball

Schaeffer started playing YMCA basketball this year. He is in the Kindergarten league. Not too sure if it is a basketball game or just chaos. He has fun, and plays when he wants to. He is a little stubborn and only does what he wants, when he wants. Wonder who he gets that from?

Varsity Boys

We had the Varsity Basketball boys over for some chili, cheese dip and cookies. I think some of the boys ate their weight in cookies and cheese dip! After dinner they had fun playing wii. Schaeffer and Brady had fun together and Schaeffer seems to think he is just as old as they are.

Mammy & Pappy

During basketball season Bishop has got to stay with Mammy quite a few times. Mammy stays with the baby and Pappy and I head off to Jason's games. Sometimes Faith and Schaeffer get to stay home with Mammy too. They would always rather stay home than have me drag them to game after game.

Baby Logan

My friend Jana had a baby boy eight days after me. His name is Logan and I know him and Bishop will be as good of friends as Jana and me. We had a great time meeting Baby Logan. It was good to see his Mom and Dad as well.

Great Wolf Lodge

Schaeffer and Faith's big gift from us was a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. It is an amazing resort with an indoor waterpark. The kids loved it. Matt, Glenda and Kelci came over for the day, which was so fun. Faith and Kelci ran wild in the waterpark and rode all the rides.

And Finally... Our Family Christmas

The night before Santa came to Claude, we had Christmas with Nanny and That. Then we got ready for Santa and baked him some chocolate chip cookies. We hope Santa didn't get sick from the cookies because Jason, Schaeffer and I did in the middle of the night. Santa brought some great gifts and we spent the entire day at home enjoying each other.

Underwood and Davis Family Christmas

On December 26th and 27th we celebrated Christmas with Jason's family. The kids loved going to Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house and spending the night. The next day we enjoyed lunch with the Davis family. Bishop makes number 17 great grandbaby for Dimple. There were lots of little kids running around celebrating.

DuLaney Family Christmas

On December 26th we travelled to Lubbock to celebrate Christmas with the DuLaney family. Mama Jean and Daddy Bob took care of us and fed us a delicious Christmas dinner. It was good to see Brad, Kay, Dallas & Brady.

Schaeffer Family Christmas

The Schaeffer family Christmas was held on Christmas Day in Dimmitt. We had to hurry up and celebrate so Mammy and Pappy could head off to Hawaii. (Wish they would have taken us too!) We ate some great food, played games, had some laughs and just enjoyed spending the day together.

The Morphis Family Comes to Visit

Our friends, Jill, Dustin & Rayce came out to visit us. Schaeffer and Rayce had a great time and Jill loved holding Baby Bishop. We are so happy that they have moved closer to home and we can see them more often!

Christmas Program and Party

Schaeffer had his first Kindergarten Christmas party and program. He loved every second. At his party they had snacks, exchanged gifts and played BINGO. During his program they sang tons of Christmas songs. During one song he REFUSED to participate. It was called, "I ain't getting nothing for Christmas". He didn't want this song to be really true so he did not participate at all.

Christmas with the Head Family

Before Christmas we all went to TJ and Teresa's new home and enjoyed Christmas. Schaeffer, Faith, Gunner, Slade and Ellen had a great time. Harper and Bishop loved getting to see everyone.

Bishop Vining

Bishop is growing. He is two months old and weighs 9.9 pounds. He has grown 2.5 inches since he was 6 weeks old. He is long. He must get that from the Schaeffer and Underwood families and not the Byrnes family. He has started staying with a wonderful lady while Schaeffer, Jason and I go to work. We are so blessed to have found her. He has started smiling, sleeping all night and kicking his legs when he gets excited.
